Mishmash

Well, it's March and the weather outside is frightful. I'd say the fire is so delightful, but we don't have a fireplace.

It's actually warmed up quite a bit from where we were two months ago. To be expected, I guess... after all, we are heading toward longer days and Spring. The northern hemisphere should be tilting just a tad closer to old Sol, so, yeah, thirty degrees is much better than eight degrees.

However, we still have a fair amount of snow, and it just seems to keep raining now and then with the odd mix of freezing rain and snow.

Seems like everyone is getting chickens these days. Just saw a friend of mine post on Facebook that he's ordered a chicken coop. I'm guessing he's not making his kids sleep in it. Probably looking to get eggs regularly from them, and he's headed toward farming over the last several years with tractor purchases and two large gardens. Natural progression in his progression.

There's probably a bit of coming hard times preparation in there as well.

American Idol is on right now. I used to watch it somewhat regularly, but not so much any more. I don't think Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are particularly good judges, and Randy Jackson is Randy Jackson, yo dawg. The ratings seems to have picked up with the changes, though, so I suppose that's good for the show.

If you don't follow the contestants from early on, it's difficult to get into them in the finals. It's like learning something new. Who has the energy for that these days?

Well, that's about all I got to say right now. Words aren't as plentiful as they used to be. Hope you are doing better.
