I'm packing for a trip so I have to cut this short but I hope all is well with you and yours. Btw, I'm with you all the way on poetry. I believe a part of it is that as a society, we have no decent language skills anymore; speaking, writing or the ability to actual write with pen in hand. How much does that matter? Not sure, but I think it does. Have you ever read civil war letters back home? Perfect handwriting, beautiful script, flowing words, profound thoughts and feelings. I'm always amazed at how those letters written by supposed undereducated illiterates puts most writing to shame these days.
I, like most everyone else, was born to a woman. As luck would have it, she turned out to be my mother. A lifelong relationship has resulted from this strange event which neither of us discuss very much.
I was born in Maine. Some would say that makes me a Mainiac, with or without an "e." I say it makes me a native American, but there are some in this world that would disagree with the logic of that.
There are some in this world that defy ALL logic.
By dint of not making career plans early on in life, I have ended up in advertising, which is like the New Jersey of careers. I spend my spare time (an oxymoron?) trying to scribble a few thoughts here and there with the hopes that they will form books eventually. Cheers!
