Elenin Watch

Sept. 26, 2011.

The sun rose this morning as it normally does. It wasn't red, but bright yellow. There was even a bit of sunrise color in the sky.

Starting today, according to many websites, there is supposed to be a three-day period of darkness due to the Comet Elenin, which many are suggesting isn't really a comet at all, but a brown dwarf star about the size of Jupiter, passing between the earth and the sun. In addition to the darkness, there are supposed to be cataclysmic events.

I say it's all balderdash and won't happen.

One video I watched (the link to it was forwarded to me from a family member) stated that the devastating Chile and Japan earthquakes were the result of an alignment between this Comet Elenin, the sun and earth. So, then, what caused the Haiti earthquake? No mention of that one.

If this Comet Elenin or brown dwarf star or Nibiru, if you want to call it that were really that close to earth, don't you think that the gravitational effects would be noticeable - not for the comet, but if it was the brown dwarf.

There's a lot of people looking for omens and portents from the skies. Pagans, paranormal types, even Christians. One of the problems with this mentality is that there are enough signs on earth to get a sense of where we are. And usually people try to bend the portents to fit their own understanding of prophecy.

So, I'm going to carry on today expecting not to be plunged into darkness.

After all, apocalyptic predictions rarely come true.
